Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector

**Tasks**:

- Driving a company vehicle to and from the site, conducting routine vehicle maintenance and checks, and keeping the company vehicle clean.
- Attending site safety orientation meetings, pre-construction meetings, filling out all necessary safety documents before entering the site, conducting ESC site inspections, and following site safety procedures.
- Working office hours writing reports and communicating with clients and colleagues.
- Attending and participating in team meetings, conducting extra tasks, in addition to completing a set weekly schedule.

**Details**:

- Minimum skills and licenses
- Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license.
- Provide a clean driver abstract at the interview.
- Prove verbal and written English proficiency.
- Experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

**Preferred industry qualifications**:

- Erosion and sediment control (ESC) product knowledge.
- Experience installing ESC measures.
- A Certified Inspector of Erosion and Sediment Control (CISEC).

**Preferred safety certifications**:

- Standard first aid with CPR C and AED
- Completed basic ACSA, CSTS certifications

An ESC inspector must be able to work independently and be proactive in addressing safety, company, and client concerns. Meeting client needs are a priority and it is considered an asset to have interpersonal skills when communicating with the client. It is necessary to work well with the Erosion Control Central (ECC) team, coordinating workloads, meeting company goals, and advancing the companies agenda. Last and not least, safety, should always be in mind with every task we undertake, whether that be driving defensively, assessing site hazards accurately, and considering ergonomics when working office hours.
