**Summary**
The role of the Laundry and Dish Worker is to provide fast and effective cleaning of various pieces of rental inventory, including dishes, glassware, silverware, food service equipment, commercial food storage and service inventory, linens, drapes, and other pieces of inventory. This position will be required to pick and prepare outgoing rental orders, check in returned rental orders, complete related paperwork, store and organize rental inventory, and other related tasks. This position will be required to run the commercial linen press, commercial dishwasher, commercial washing machine, and commercial dryer. The position will be required to organize, test, and sort various pieces of inventory to ensure that they are ready to rent.
**Job Duties**
- Ensure that all dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, etc. are clean and sanitized.
- Pre-soak dishes in solution and load them into the dishwasher.
- Use proper chemicals to sanitize items.
- Wash all pots, pans, inserts, etc. and clean kitchen equipment as necessary.
- Sort, group, and properly store all cleaned items.
- Clean and organize all related work equipment and areas.
- Wash, dry, and press various linens and other laundry using commercial equipment.
- Keep sanitation solution up to company codes at all times.
- Check in returned inventory, count it, and note shortages or damage on rental return paperwork.
- Prepare orders for customer pickup or company delivery. This includes using paperwork to pick orders in appropriate quantities and staging orders so that they may be easily retrieved.
- Troubleshoot dishwasher machine malfunctions.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a working environment that maximizes morale, productivity and efficiency.
**Requirements**:
- Grade 12 education preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be a team player who works well with others
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
**Work Conditions**
- Stands and walks during 6-8 hour shift.
- Reaches, bends, stoops and wipes.
- Lifts and carries supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs., throughout entire shift
- Hazards include, but are not limited to: cuts from broken glass, cutlery, burns, slipping, tripping, strains, and others.
- Frequently immerses hands in water.
- Works frequently in a hot and damp environment
- Climbs ladders and retrieves items off of shelving units.
- Handles various chemicals for the purposes of routine cleaning.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
