Location: Markham

**Objective**:
The Miller Group is looking for a dynamic environmental intern to join HSE Team for a period of 6 months contract with the potential of extension or permanent position.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Uphold the Miller Group’s Environmental Policy Statement and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within the organization through your day-to-day tasks.
- Participates in the systematic identification, assessment and control of Health, Safety and Environmental hazards and risks
- Report all findings to senior HSE team members
- Supports the implementation of the Company HSE procedures and daily management of all activities in the Health and Safety Department
- Participates in HSE committee meetings
- Work on special projects including but not limited to; Excess soil, waste management, environmental permitting and compliance or CSR
- Travel and coordinate site visits to complete checklists with site representative(s)
- Supports the HSE Team in administrative duties
- Review HSE inspection, assign corrective actions

**Requirements**:

- Working towards a post secondary education in Health and Safety or Environmental Studies
- Strong analytical, organizational skills and goal oriented
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Vehicle and valid driver’s license
