The Production Worker is responsible for operating multiple pieces of equipment inside and outside the building, as well as performing a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing of pressure-treated lumber.

**Responsibilities & Requirements**:

- Work in compliance with all company rules and regulations.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and SOPs.
- Wear all required PPE and work safely.
- Participate in all company-mandated training.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure manufactured products meet quality standards.
- Strap, tag, end tag, bag, inspect, and downsize lumber as required.
- Label parts and products clearly and accurately.
- Complete appropriate forms legibly and clearly.
- Work cooperatively with a team to achieve production targets.
- Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas.
- Abide by OHSA workplace health and safety standards.
- Report all Health & Safety issues immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Shifts**:
**Day shift**:6am - 3:30pm

**Afternoon shift**: 3:30pm - 10am with a $1.25 premium.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Education: High School Diploma/GED
- **Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license (an asset), Forklift License (an asset)**:

- **1 year of experience working with machinery in warehouse setting.**:

- **Clean criminal background check paperwork**

**LANGUAGES AND CORE COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)**:
**Languages Required**:Proficiency in English

**Core Competencies**:

- Stand for significant periods of time (7 hours or more)
- Lift 50lbs unassisted
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks
- Attention to detail
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

**Ability to**:

- Deal with problems in standardized situations
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, memos, and schedules
- Write simple correspondence
- Work independently and be flexible with assignments
- Basic math skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Peterborough, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Machine Operator: 1 year (preferred)
- Forklift operating: 1 year (preferred)
- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
