**Responsibilities**
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of all items.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs and receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in the operation of forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading freight.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles when necessary.

**Qualifications**
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred.
- Experience in freight handling and heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Forklift certification is desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight.
