Printing - Material Handler

***:
The Material Handler reports to the Printing Shift Supervisor and is responsible for delivering packing supplies to the Printing production floor from the Warehouse, and to deliver molded skids to the Warehouse.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Properly maintain Walkie and ensure daily checks are conducted and check sheets are logged
- Physically moving molded product from the warehouse staging area and delivering it to the appropriate printing machine as well as ensuring the accuracy of all scanning transactions in the LX system
- Unloading molded product and loading printed product onto skids following the designated route
- Physically moving finished printed product from printing to the warehouse wrapper area and loading on wrapper as well as ensuring the accuracy of all scanning transactions in the LX system
- Removing rag barrels from machine area to warehouse staging area for transportation
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and training
- Housekeeping and 5S duties. Perform quality checks on outgoing pallets
- Responding to Andon lights and perform line clearance
- Report any maintenance issues regarding equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned

**SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
**Educational Requirements**: High School diploma or equivalent
**Minimum Experience/Field**: Previous experience handling the electric hand truck would be an asset
**Licenses/Permits Required**: Certified in operating a walkie pallet truck
**Communication Skills**: Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills
**Physical Requirements**: must be able to perform the Physical Activity Demands listed below

CORE COMPETENCIES FOR THIS POSITION
- Must have the ability to lift more than 20 pounds, stand and walk for long periods of time
- The Material Handler position includes reaching above and below shoulder height, kneeling, bending, and repetitive movements such as gripping, grasping, pushing and pulling
