**JOB INFO**:
The Cleaning Staff works along with the participants in the transitionary residences to ensure an acceptable level of cleanliness and care. They report to the Director of Operations.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment and with volunteers.
- Support the cleaning programs set-up by the Outreach team in cooperation with the residents.
- Provide cleaning guidance to the residents and work alongside participants as they clean and organize their rooms.
- Support the cleaning of residents’ rooms, bathrooms and kitchens.
- Support laundry, garbage removal and recycling.
- Perform routine room inspections while supporting the cleaning of rooms, recommend repairs and maintenance to the facility building maintenance team.
**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to take directions from others and provide guidance as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and maintain appropriate workplace boundaries.
- Knowledge and understanding of hoarding and safe biohazard cleaning methods.
- Involves lifting and carrying heavy boxes, crates, bending, twisting.
**EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Cleaning experience and comfort working within others’ home.
- Current certification in First Aid/CPR.
