On behalf of our client, Centura, The People People Inc. is recruiting for a Warehouse Worker/Order Picker position for their Windsor location. Centura is a wholesale distributor of flooring and related products that was founded in 1961 and has grown to become one of Canada's most formidable floor covering distribution companies.

The Warehouse Worker position is responsible for supporting the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. The Warehouse worker must pick customer orders, load, and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment, e.g., lift truck, forklift, etc. Other responsibilities may include the inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify contents and quality.

This position will play a vital role in the successful operation of Centura by bringing resourcefulness, commitment and a strong work ethic to our dynamic team.

*The hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm and alternating Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm. We will only consider applicants that can meet this availability.

**Responsibilities**:

- Order fulfillment; pick and pack orders efficiently by making accurate selection of products, packaging them safely and securely and preparing for shipment.
- Support shipping and receiving functions as needed by properly labeling orders, preparing shipping documents, and staging orders properly for loading into delivery vehicles.
- Inspect products to ensure Centura standards for customer service are met, report any product damage, quality concerns or inventory inaccuracies to immediate supervisor.
- Ensure product accurate paperwork including bin changes, call back sheets, inventory adjustments.
- Utilize Centura inventory management and order systems (Dancik).
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks and pallet jacks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain a warehouse that is clean, organized and safe by sweeping floors, removing garbage and ensuring proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.
- Follow all Centura safety protocols and practices to prevent incidents and injuries.
- Attend training seminars as required.
- Comply with all Centura company policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Centura Management.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Previous forklift licensing preferred.
- Knowledge of the flooring industry an asset.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Solid work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Represent and promote Centura in a competent and professional manner.

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 - 46.5 per week
