Our diversity drives our uncompromising approach to quality and success within the Canadian recreational cannabis market.As part of our Production team, our Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sanitation protocols to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with cannabis regulatory standards across the organization.- You have robust organizational skills, and in-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, practices, and regulations. As our Sanitation Supervisor, you play a key role making a significant impact on the organization's cleanliness standards, regulatory compliance, and overall operations.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

**Sanitation Program Management**
- Monitor and ensures sanitation program is followed throughout the facility that meets all regulatory requirements
- Supervise sanitation team and coordinate cleaning activities with other departments
- Develop and implement sanitation policies, procedures, protocols, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with cannabis industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate and forecast workforce demands, cleaning schedules and tasks
- Monitor Sanitation Verification Systems

**Te**am Leadership **& **Supervision**
- Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to sanitation team lead and team members
- Develop and conduct training programs for sanitation workforce on proper cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Inspect or delegate the inspection of sanitation room and sanitation equipment
- Schedule monthly and yearly master sanitation cleaning projects for the facility
- Oversee the creating and documenting of procedures related to approved cleaning chemicals and cleaning schedules
- Maintain 5s standards and training across the sanitation department
- Develop and conduct quarterly refresher training for the sanitation team
- Lead onboarding and offboarding of sanitation contract labour

**Housekeeping &** Continuous Improvement**
- Conduct regular inspections to assess the cleanliness of the facility and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure general maintenance conducted throughout the facility and report any issues/follow up with the Maintenance team
- Implement and track performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of sanitation programs
- Address any sanitation-related issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Quality Assurance, and maintenance, to ensure effective coordination of sanitation activities
- Assess and evaluate sanitation training’s effectiveness and make recommendations to improve effectiveness as needed

**Cannabis Sanitation **Compliance & Collaboration**
- Work alongside Quality Assurance team to coordinate internal and third-party audits for the facility relating to sanitation
- Collaborate with all involved stakeholders to improve existing processes, reduce downtime, and increase equipment functionality and/or productivity with good sanitary practices
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess cleanliness and hygiene levels throughout the facility
- Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Production Practices (GPP) guidelines are followed, adhering to quality, safety, product safety and legislative guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, inspections, and corrective actions
- Involved in the routine and preventative maintenance program for the facility

**Your Experience**
- 3+ years of experience in a sanitation (or cleaning) role is required
- 1+ year supervisory experience overseeing production and/or sanitation staff
- Robust Knowledge of sanitation regulations and best practices
- Experience in manufacturing, production, food processing, hospitality, healthcare or other fast-moving consumer goods industry
