- Provide instruction to students enrolled in the Carpentry program.
- Design and implement a student-centered learning environment using an outcome-based approach in either a face-to-face or online delivery mode.
- Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations using principles of adult learning.
- Develop new curriculum, training aids, and materials as needed.
- Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using varied instructional methods.
- Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
- Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.
- Be responsive to accommodation of special learning needs, including equity groups and diverse learners.
- Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in working experience.
- Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with employer and educational requirements.
- Mentor students related to educational opportunities, industry expectations, and career goals.
- Work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment.

- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate in the Carpentry trade.
- Two years’ recent/relevant post-journeyperson experience as a Carpenter.
- Ability to obtain a reliability status security clearance.

- Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
