Annapolis Home Hardware Building Centre is currently seeking a Seasonal/Part-time Warehouse/Yard Worker to join our team.

The warehouse staff are responsible for greeting customers in a friendly and courteous manner, picking their required material in a timely and accurate fashion, and signing off the customer’s order slip. They are responsible for checking incoming merchandise against invoices to identify shortages, damaged goods, and backordered merchandise. Received inventory must be put away and ready for sale as soon as possible. They must make sure the yard, warehouse, trucks, forklifts, and check-in area are neat, clean, and orderly. They must assist with the unloading of the Home Hardware delivery truck and all other delivery trucks arriving in the yard. They must have the ability to read supplier invoices, bills of lading, and all other shipping documents. Accuracy of all information is very important and must be organized in a professional manner.

**Specific Accountabilities**:

- Increase sales by developing product knowledge and selling skills
- Must communicate effectively with customers, management, employees, wholesaler/manufacturer, representatives, and delivery personnel.
- Must read, comprehend, and interpret written and printed materials, and information provided in numerical, and statistical form.
- Must safely operate equipment required for efficient yard operation including lumber carts, forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, banding machine, ladders, chop saw, etc.
- Must move throughout the yard to assist customers, check inventory status, and verify the safety and security of the yard.
- Ensure the warehouse and yard are kept clean and organized.
