**Role**:
Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the Parts Person is responsible for stock handling, identifying and cataloging parts, ordering, receiving, and inspecting parts for Aureus. The Parts person will Support the site maintenance and the Shop Foreman in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
Job duties:
- Ordering parts and supplies for all departments.
- Maintain Parts Inventory
- Supply Parts as required to Maintenance staff and Field Operations
- Receive and store parts as per Aureus’ system.
- Organize, store, and ship return and exchange parts.
- Maintain price lists.
- Equipment addition to maintenance software package
- Create and manage flow control of maintenance procedures utilizing maintenance tracking software
- Create work orders for all repairs documenting all deficiencies noted.
- Supply Management with quotes regarding repair cost and estimated timelines on repair completion
- Communicate with Management and delegate priorities of repairs to maintenance staff as business needs evolve
- Work with Department managers to develop timeline and scheduling of preventative maintenance programs of equipment in use to prevent unexpected or unplanned breakdowns
- Supply Purchase orders and invoices to relevant parties to ensure repair costs are appropriated to correct equipment/departments for financial accuracy
- Other duties as required
**Job Requirements**:
Experience & Training
- Experience in a parts person role or parts runner is considered an asset
- Have product knowledge and sizing experience through prior opportunities, and continue to develop these skills through daily work and continuous product training
- Must possess a clean driver’s abstract
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software
- Proven organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proven supervisory and leadership skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid safety tickets required: First Aid, H2S Alive, CSO
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically fit and able to pass our pre-employment screening
- Physical requirements include bending, safely lifting to 20 kgs, working in a noisy and sometimes dusty environment
- Able to climb ladders and stairs
Skills & Expectations
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer
- Responsible to have a strong Safety focus (Safe Work Practices (SWP), Safe Operating Procedures (SOP) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Be mechanically inclined with knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems; specifically focused on hydraulics and pumps
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Willing to comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Willing to comply with Aureus’ drug & alcohol-free and harassment-free work environment
- Willing to work in a diverse and team-oriented environment
