**Working Arrangement**

Reporting to the National Account Executive, the Associate Account Manager is responsible for client service and retention. This includes establishing, building and maintaining the support relationships for assigned clients and taking a lead communication role when representing Manulife to our sponsor customers and partners. This is accomplished through regular client contact, the pre-sale process for new opportunities, pro-active management, service satisfaction and overall client management.
The Associate Account Manager will support the administrative process that is the foundation for sales development, request for proposals, product launches, process development and project management as opportunities present themselves, or when assigned for action by the National Account Executive.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Support and service a significant block of small, mid or large size sponsor clients with responsibility for ongoing client support, satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve return, risk and retention targets.
- Deliver service and support according to customized business agreements
- Understand client business needs, strategic objectives and build strong ongoing relationships
- Identify sales opportunities and review them with the National Account Executive
- Identify organic growth opportunities with existing clients.
- Provide a strong level of problem solving and independent thinking skills, engage with centres of excellence to find win-win solutions for both our client’s, and Manulife.
- Participate and provide support for regular client meetings, seminars, and conferences.
- Organize and keep written record of partnership meetings
- Manage all invoicing, retention agreement marketing payments and commission payments as assigned.
- Initiate, support, and advance activities that have a strategic focus and are consistent with the long-term goals of each client
- Special Condition: Some travel is required for this position.
**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of insurance (life, health, disability, travel, critical illness)
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 2 + years of Client Relationship Management experience
Skills/ Attributes:
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills (bilingualism in English and French is an asset)
