We are looking for a Press Operator Gopfert for our Hannon location. This position will be reporting to the Production Supervisor.

**Broad Purpose**:
Forms product by operating and maintaining all press equipment and machinery, to produce quality products per Company quality policy

**General Job Duties**:

- Must be a team leader and work with the team on the machine
- Determine sequence of operations by following standard operating procedures and work orders
- Will demonstrate a continual commitment to quality, production and continuous improvement
- Will meet or exceed all ISO/Quality requirements.
- Follow all HACCP procedures.
- Maintain specifications by observing the operation; detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts; adjusting controls.
- Ensure operation of equipment by trouble shooting problems and notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources or necessary repairs.
- Verify print and other specifications with production copy, visually inspect for any non-conformances
- Perform any and all set-up procedures in an efficient and cost effective manner and run at or above the standard set by the company
- Verify and input production data into the electronic CTI program
- Ensure that continuous run is maintained at shift start and shift end
- Report all problems to your Supervisor or Lead Hand when they occur
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of the personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
- Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company

**Safety Responsibility and Accountability**:

- Follow equipment specific physical lock out tag out procedure
- Report all hazards / problems to your Supervisor when they occur.

Other available tools are when hazard rating is low.
- Pre-use inspection form
- Use Manager plus and place a work request
- Use of hazard reporting form
- Report injury / incident to your Supervisor immediately
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and Good housekeeping practices.
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) - Gloves, sleeves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, Hi
- viz vest in Shipping/warehouse
- Mobile equipment operator to ensure daily operator checklist is completed before use. I.e. Clamp truck, Forklift, Elevated work platforms.
- Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company
- Keep fire equipment and exits clear all time
- Zero Tolerance - Workplace Violence and Harassment: Refer to the policy posted on the H&S board.

**Education**:
Minimum Grade 10

Basic Math

**Essential Skills/Qualifications**:
Previous manufacturing experiences an asset

Machine operation skills

Organization skills

Good communication

Flexibility to work rotating shifts

Team Player

Self starter
