Machine Operator

We're currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused **Excavator Operator** to join our team at our aggregate pit.

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate an excavator to extract and load aggregate materials (sand, gravel, rock) efficiently and safely.
- Load material into haul trucks and feed crushing equipment as needed.
- Perform daily equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and report any mechanical issues.
- Ensure pit walls and slopes are maintained to proper safety standards.
- Work closely with site supervisors and other team members to maintain production targets and site safety.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
- Assist with other duties around the pit as needed (e.g., cleanup, equipment checks, maintenance).

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience operating an excavator, preferably in an aggregate or mining environment.
- Strong understanding of safe operating procedures and hazard awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset

Pay: $25.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
