**CIVIL CONSTRUCTION PIPELAYER-GRADEMAN**

The Civil Pipelayer-Grademan for Strohmaier Excavating (2019) Ltd. will report to the Foreman and is responsible for the safe and efficient installation of various pipes and fittings related to civil construction work and must be physically able to work all environments. The Civil Pipelayer-Grademan must be self-motivated team player and be able to work in a safe and productive manner. The Civil Pipelayer-Grademan position requires a strong understanding of industry standard best practice procedures particularly around trenches and heavy equipment.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

- Efficient installation of a variety of pipes related to civic construction including storm, water, and sanitary
- Lay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisor
- Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools
- Other general labour and construction related duties as required
- Work as a team to complete projects in a safe and timely manner
- Work in a safe and responsible manner; adhere to all safety and environmental standards, regulations, and company policies
- 5+ years proven experience as a civil pipelayer-grademan
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract
- Good working knowledge of pipe grading and an understanding of safe work practices pertaining to municipal and utility-based construction
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical drawings
- Must have strong time management skills and problem-solving abilities
- Must be a self-motivated individual who works well with others
- Must be in good physical condition / health (capable of physical labour)
- First Aid certification an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
