**Job Overview**
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our dynamic finance team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting within a fast-paced environment. We are launching a next-gen **prepaid payment card** with real-time spend controls and sustainability-minded rewards. You’ll help take us from zero to launch while building corporate-finance skills that translate directly to FP&A, payments, and venture-backed fintech.

- **Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON** (in-person optional for key meetings); fully remote in Canada considered.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct research and analysis on financial data to support decision-making processes.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives.
- Participate in meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements to build and maintain the **card program financial model** (interchange, scheme fees, processor pricing, reserves, fraud loss assumptions, CAC/LTV).

You have
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets (INDEX/MATCH/XLOOKUP, pivots, scenarios); comfort with numbers and detail.
- Clear analytical writing and clean slides.
- Professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality.

**Nice to have**: SQL or Python (basic queries/modeling), fintech/payments exposure, Figma/FigJam for simple flows.

Schedule & support
- 5-20 hrs/week; flexible scheduling around classes.
- Weekly mentorship with founder + mid-point and final reviews.
- Access to templates (models, KPI decks, RFPs) and select vendor calls.
- Letter of reference upon successful completion.
- Share a brief note on **why fintech/corporate finance** interests you.
- Weekly availability (hours) and **preferred start date**.

**Qualifications**
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial software is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
