This position is based in our North Vancouver office and is responsible for managing a team to deliver a portfolio of electric and natural gas Transmission, Distribution, and Generation projects, as well as municipal linear infrastructure projects of various types. With a keen sight on ensuring team and clients collaborate for projects to be delivered on time, on budget, safely, and at the highest quality possible.

**Responsibilities**:
This position will lead a team to deliver our program of physical infrastructure projects. For electric and gas utilities as well as municipalities throughout Western Canada, Maven’s Project Delivery services include project management, construction management, project controls, procurement/supply chain, estimating, and safety consulting. Regular responsibilities include:
- Implement Maven’s scope of work in our service contracts to meet client requirements.
- Forecast challenges in executing the scope of works and implement mitigation plans.
- Allocate work to team members, work with Finance to monitor utilization, and actions to respond (e.g., Work with Human Resources who manage recruitment activities).
- Manage a key project or two, and provide temporary project management capacity support as needed (up to 20% time).
- Forecast program workloads, and work with Finance to process payroll, invoicing, and to support financial planning.
- Lead performance and report on program status, risks, and mitigation strategies for the Project Delivery Business Unit.
- Implement of our Quality Management Program and Project Management Methodology, including completing reviews of client deliverables
- Contribute to business unit objective annual planning and implement business unit strategies to achieve goals.
- Ensure our program is implemented in compliance with our Safety Program.
- Develop junior project delivery staff on their career journey
- Responsible for staff performance including regular feedback, performance reviews, team training, and structure to successfully delivery Maven’s program.
- Responsible for team morale and culture, ensuring Maven’s values are lived
- Support Account Managers who manage key accounts and are accountable for overall contract performance. The Program Manager will support by maintaining a positive client relationship as well as preparing labour price quotes and delivery methodologies.
- For the right person, contract management and some client relationship management is possible.
- For the right person, leadership of delivery of Maven’s Engineering portfolio is possible.
**What We Are Looking For**:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or equivalent.
- Certificate, diploma, or degree in management, organizational behaviour, or business would be an asset.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation and/or a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation would be assets.
- 10+ years’ experience in engineering and project management
- 5+ years of managing a team of 10+ staff members
- Experience managing complex electric, natural gas, or linear infrastructure projects and programs in North Ame
