**Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients as needed.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.

**Qualifications**
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or similar setting is an asset, however if you possess the basic kitchen and knife technics required then we are happy to train.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and working productively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
- Certification in food handling will be required.

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
