**Job Summary**
Affinity Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including senior care facilities, hospice care, home care, and assisted living environments. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring the comfort and well-being of those you assist. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caregiving and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to nursing staff or healthcare providers.
- Help with mobility assistance, including transferring patients from beds to wheelchairs or assisting with walking.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Support individuals with disabilities by providing personalized assistance tailored to their needs.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in senior care, hospice care, home care, or assisted living is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of patient care practices; training will be provided for specific duties.
- Certification as a nursing aide or completion of a caregiving course is an asset but not required.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by the facility.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $23.00-$26.41 per hour

Expected hours: 56 - 84 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
- Retention bonus

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Criminal record check (preferred)
