Contract Specialist

As a Contract Specialist, you will manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initial request through contract close out, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. This role involves maintaining positive relationships with our vendors and suppliers, negotiating, and renewing contracts, and collaborating with various departments to understand their procurement needs. You will report to the IT Procurement Manager and will work closely with other departments, including legal and finance.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Review and analyze procurement requests from internal departments and stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including performance and delivery.
- Manage vendor contracts by ensuring necessary paperwork and documentation are accurate and up to date, including on time renewals.
- Negotiate pricing and other terms with vendors to ensure that we receive the best possible value for our spend.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that sourcing requirements are met, and communicate any concerns with vendors, ensuring contract disputes and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Monitor vendor performance and report any issues to management.
- Review vendor invoices and ensure accurate and on time payments.
- Lead the engagement of new vendors and coordinate internally, with the Legal, GRC and Security team.
- Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and evaluate vendor capabilities.
**What you'll need to be successful**:
**Must haves**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or related field.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of procurement and contract management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of contractual legal requirements and general accounting processes.
**Nice to haves**:
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow Platform.
