Manager, Solution Architecture

We are currently looking for a Manager, Solution Architecture to join the enterprise architecture team and to play a crucial role in Bond’s success. You will have overall responsibility for leading the architecture, technical direction, and support implementation of technical solutions. The Manager is responsible for architecture quality, oversees solution architects’ contribution in delivering our initiatives by providing architecture, technology, and organizational leadership. You own a balanced mix of technical and business skills to directly work with business and technical leaders in the organization. This role requires leadership and involvement in all stages of the solution definition, from the conceptual architecture creation to the solution development and definition, and even more specific areas depending on skills and interests. As a Manager, Solution Architecture, you will: - Lead by example, demonstrating a keen technical / architectural awareness while solving complex business problems. - Manage and lead high performing and talented solution architects. - Manage architecture activities within assigned portfolio and take ownership of quality and alignment of technical solution. - Review and approve proposed solutions considering total cost of ownership, risks, and leverage of existing assets. - Ensure quality and completeness of solution architecture deliverables. - Present the solutions to internal and external stakeholders. - Build and maintain C-level relationships within the Bond and client’s teams. - Contribute to implementing and promoting an architecture governance framework supporting architecture strategy, coding standards, policies, and guiding principles. - Mentoring and coaching the solution architects and technical delivery leaders - Help troubleshooting complex implementation and design issues. - Lead the adoption and use of the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies for solution development. - Contribute to development of roadmaps and associated plans. You bring: - Exceptional interpersonal, communication and collaborative and the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. - Strong leadership/managerial experience in professional services, cloud managed services and/or consulting business combined with significant service delivery experience. - Strong time management skills applied to successful solution delivery. - Ability to understand and present the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations. - Architecture experience with: - Integration Architecture - Azure Architecture Framework, - Cloud cost optimization - Service oriented architecture (micro / macro / API) - Event driven architecture. - Application architecture - Distributed architecture - Data architecture and modeling - Integration patterns and best practices - Modeling languages & techniques - Technical skills and knowledge - REST, WS-*, JSON, SOAP, XML, JDBC, UML - UX standards (Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap) - experience with Message brokers (AMPQ based) and Stream processing. - understanding of the big data ecosystems: Hadoop, data lake, Snowflake - Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and caching - Enterprise security including SAMLv2, OAuth, AD, LDAP, IPsec, SSL/TLS, firewalls, certificates, key management. - 10+ years of experience in Architecture and Software Development - 3+ years of managerial experience - Post-secondary education in computer science or equivalent You are: - A true leader with excellent influential and persuasive skills - A person of high level of integrity that can professionally handle confidential matters and to show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity. - An excellent team player who demonstrates leadership and willing to learn and collaborate with many groups of strong professionals. - A self-motivated leader with the ability to coach and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve business goals. - Customer-oriented and driven by results. - Organized, proactive and a catalyst for change. - Experienced with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies. - Strongly knowledgeable of Architecture standards and practices. TOGAF or any other architecture framework, ITIL v4 certification would be considered an asset.
