**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food handling and preparation meets safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and service to ensure high standards are met.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Strong skills in meal preparation with an emphasis on quality and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
