**What you will do**
- Prevent shoplifter theft in a retail environment while providing customer service to clients, patrons and customers.
- Wear plain clothes to work undercover, discreetly blending in with shoppers.
- Patrol store aisles, monitor customers, and watch security camera footage.
- Confront individuals you suspect of theft, who have unpaid merchandise.
- Escort trespassers out of the client premises.
- Perform arrests, detainments, and recover unpaid merchandise
- Complete required documentation for security incidents such as theft and violations.
- Escalate situation to law enforcement as required
- Respond to emergency situations appropriately in a timely manner.
- A keen interest in asset protection and crime prevention
- Knowledge of the 5 steps to follow to apprehend shoplifters
- A Valid Security License
- A Uniform Exemption certificate is required
- Valid Use of Force Training and Certificate is required
- Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifting
- Previous security experience in a retail environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills
- Ability to work without close supervision

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- LPO: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Security Guard Licence (required)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Use of Force (required)

Work Location: In person
