Working on a 40-hour-per-week basis, The Restoration Technician will be reporting directly to the Restoration Project Manager. The Restoration Technician will be working on a team, immersed in the day-to-day activities of construction projects by performing a variety of construction-related tasks involving physical labor, and the use of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities include:
- Utilize your high attention to detail to complete projects in a timely manner
- Demolition, reinforcing, forming, placing, water proofing and pumping concrete
- Maintain a clean and productive jobsite
- Assess, erect, and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades as required
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Education: High School Diploma considered an asset
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry
- Valid driver license preferred but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulation
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg)
- Climb stairs and ladders
- Clear Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector) must be maintained.
- Occasional work outside of regular work hours (Monday to Friday) may be required
