Located at the center of Fort Saskatchewan, the well renowned Holiday Inn Express and Suite Fort Saskatchewan is a fantastic opportunity for you to get started in the fast-growing hospitality industry Our growing friendly and professional team strives to create a great working environment for you Together with our team, you will be empowered to deliver on our mission of "Creating a memorable experience for our guests" Additional professional upscale hotel standard training will be provided for your career success We thank all applicants for their interest, however, we are only able to consider those with valid authorization to work in Canada. **Duties and Responsibilities**: - Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, ambassadors and vendors - Sets up cleaning cart with supplies. Maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms - Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways - Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilets and stall walls. Wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks and walls in order to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms - Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed, and to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests - Washes all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) to remove dirt and soiled areas - Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings - Strips bed of all linens and remakes with fresh linens - Checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies (eg., hangers, extra blankets, extra pillows) - Vacuum rooms, public areas and hallways - Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous attitude at all times - Performs other duties as assigned **Qualifications & Skill Requirements**: - Physical mobility and stamina. - Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment - Able to take direction and follow instructions, requirements and regulations. - Ability to work a flexible schedule include weekends and holidays **Benefits**: - Job security - Professional hotel standard training will be provided - Employee assistance program - Flexible schedule **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time **Benefits**: - Flexible schedule - On-site parking Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Every Weekend - Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: - Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L 0N6 (required) Work Location: In person
