Apprentice Baker

Willowtree Farm is currently recruiting reliable, creative, and motivated bakers and pastry chefs. Are you looking for an opportunity to use your culinary skills in a farm to table kitchen? We are looking to add to our growing kitchen team.
Ideal Applicant:
- Ideally someone who has graduated and/or taking time off to commit to the work hours.
- Clean and tidy
- Have positive attitude and energetic with good communication and listening skills.
- Willing to accept coaching from the head baker.
- Able to work well in a team setting.
- Punctual, responsible and respectful.
- A quick learner who can handle multi-tasking in a fast paced environment.
- Able to follow directions with good work ethics.
- Have their own transportation.
Key Responsibilities / Job description:
- Early starting hours.
- Lifting at least 25 kg.
- Use of large scale bakery oven and equipment.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm working in a team setting with the head baker.
- Communicating thoroughly in order to complete daily tasks.
- Regular clean up in order to maintain our clean work environment.
You are required to work every weekend as these are the busiest days.
Full and Part-time positions available for busy, Experience necessary for kitchen work. Applicants must be able to work independently and lift up to 40lbs.
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
**Experience**:
- Kitchen: 1-2 year (preferred)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
**Experience**:
- baking: 5 years (preferred)
