**THE OPPORTUNITY**
Reporting to the SVP, Claims and Corporate Counsel, and working closely with business leaders and your peers, we are looking for a Claims Administrator to join our team. You will handle the administration for the claims group - open & close claims, manage claims flow and claims inbox. You will work with business leads in supporting the business from the claim’s perspective, working with brokers, insureds, third party vendors, and internal departments. You may also manage TPAs and dbx for Group Originated Business. You may also handle general office administration as needed. **WHAT YOU WILL DO**
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up claims (manual/system), including acknowledgement letters, closing claims
- Managing claims inbox
- Assigning claims to adjusters
- Managing invoices from providers - review, facilitation of payment with finance
- Assist in the design and testing of ISI claims system
- Assist in the management of TPAs
- Handle production of bordereaux for various GOB business
- Prepare loss runs, claim reports
- Assist in addressing broker queries and requests regarding claims
- You will also likely assist with broader company and office administrative tasks
**WHO YOU ARE**
You have direct experience in claims administration. You are team player with a positive attitude who thrives in a consensus culture with an emphasis on collaboration. You are a self-starter who is excited by the opportunity to jump right in and can come up to speed quickly. You are comfortable working on a lean team and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and do the work that needs to be done.
Our new Claims Administrator will have:
- The ideal combination of education and experience - a university degree or college diploma and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in claims administration with an insurer.
- Knowledge of principles, practices and procedures related to claims and ability to read and interpret claims documents.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines, driving for results.
- Experience working closely with others and enjoy an atmosphere of cross-collaboration.
- Ability to thrive in a changing environment and be comfortable with ambiguity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) are required; fluency in French is preferred but not required.
