The Heart & Crown is looking for a barback to join our team.

We are an upscale-casual pub located in the Byward Market that offers a wide range of beer on tap as well as Irish-inspired cuisine.

While our focus is mainly on drinks, we see a healthy peak for lunch and dinner as well as a solid late-night crowd.

This neighbourhood pub has a fast-paced environment with a close-knit team that ensures operations run smoothly.

**What we expect from you**:

- Restocking kegs, liquor bottles, beer bottles
- Removing bags from trash receptacles around the restaurant
- Sweeping and mopping around the restaurant
- Stocking bar items such as glassware, straws, napkins, ice, etc.
- Running food to tables during peak periods
- Interacting with guests
- Walking and standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy items
- Receiving deliveries
- Maintaining flowers and patios
- Weekend availability
- Assist wait staff as needed

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.55 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON K1N 5P5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- restaurant: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (required)
