**About Washco**

Washco is a specialty exterior-cleaning superstore with a retail showroom and an active warehouse/distribution hub. We serve contractors and homeowners in-store and via shipped orders across Canada. We’re hiring a hands-on manager to run the Mississauga location with a strong focus on **distribution excellence**.

**The role**

Own the end-to-end operation of a small but busy site**:distribution & shipping, warehouse & inventory, and retail & customer experience.** You’ll lead two team members (sales + warehouse), keep orders moving accurately and on time, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.

**What you’ll do**

**Distribution & Logistics (primary focus)**
- Run daily **pick/pack/ship**: prioritize orders, stage efficiently, ship from proper location and hit ship-by cutoffs.
- Manage **carriers/couriers** (UPS/FedEx/Canpar/LTL): rate shop, book pickups, prepare labels, waybills, BOLs and Commercial invoices.
- Drive **OTIF** (on-time, in-full) performance, order **accuracy**, and **shipping accuracy**; investigate and fix misses.
- Handle **receiving**: dock scheduling, verification against POs, damages/shortage claims, and put-away.
- Maintain packaging standards; reduce breakage and reships; ensure proper documentation for returns.

**Warehouse & Inventory**
- Keep the warehouse **organized**: bin locations, clear aisles, safe stacking, cycle counts, and stock rotation.
- Own **inventory management**: variances, min/reorder tags, RTVs, and basic purchasing coordination with head office.
- Lead **stock counts** and cycle count compliance; track shrink and implement root-cause fixes.
- Enforce **Health & Safety**: housekeeping, PPE, safe lifting and material-handling practices.

**Retail & Customer Experience**
- **Open/close** procedures (reconcile POS, keyholder, alarm codes, physical security).
- **Manage customer equipment support** (pure water systems & water-fed poles): diagnose issues, perform basic repairs (filters/resin/clamps/hoses/pumps), and coordinate warranty with Manager; keep parts/consumables stocked and logs up to date.
- Maintain **store standards**: merchandising, signage, cleanliness, and product availability.
- Ensure **sales accuracy** at POS and coordinate with warehouse for seamless fulfillment.
- Customer Order communication and documentation

**People, Admin & Reporting**
- **Schedule, train, and coach** your two direct reports; set clear expectations and give feedback.
- Track daily/weekly KPIs (sales, budgets, inventory accuracy, shrink, google reviews); report to head office.
- Complete light **admin**: transactions audits, incident logs, invoice/packing slip matchbacks, property management.

**Must-have qualifications**
- **2+ years managing a retail/warehouse/distribution operation** (ASM/Store Manager/DC Lead or equivalent).
- **Excellent communication** and **positive, hands-on leadership**; calm under pressure with strong **de-escalation** skills.
- **Prompt communication with the team**:

- **Critical thinking** and **business acumen**: you prioritize well, decide quickly, and own outcomes.
- Proven **inventory control** and **warehouse organization** experience; accuracy mindset.
- **Self-directed**: comfortable running a site day-to-day with mínimal supervision.
- **Computer savvy**: POS/e-commerce and shipping platforms; confident with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Able to lift **up to 50 lb**, stand/walk most of the day, and work safely in a warehouse environment.
- **Legally eligible to work in Canada**; **reliable transportation**.

**Nice to have (assets)**
- Experience with **Shopify POS** or similar; basic e-commerce workflows.
- Familiarity with **courier** and **LTL** processes (labels, waybills, BOLs, claims).
- Forklift/walkie/pallet-jack experience (**certification an asset**).
- Knowledge of **TDG/dangerous goods** handling (asset) and general H&S compliance.

**Schedule & compensation**
- **Full-time, on-site; Monday-Friday**.
- **Compensation**: Competitive base + performance bonus; and **benefits**

Pay: $80,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
