Hv - Financial Analyst

Our Client, Brivia Group, is looking for a detail orientated Financial Analyst with excellent presentation skills to join their Team. Founded in Montreal in 2000, **Brivia Group**is a Canadian real estate development and investment group with a growing portfolio of residential and mixed-use projects in the region.

**POSITION**:
We are currently seeking a **Financial Analyst**to join our **Finance team**. This role will provide a **wide range of support to the**Finance team and also having a direct line of sight to the CFO. The Analyst will assist in the **gathering and analysis of financial data,**reporting to equity and debt partners, and the upkeep of financial pro-formas for all projects once they have entered the construction phase.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist in the **informational and procedural needs**related to the creation, upkeep, and monitoring of monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow projections in accordance with the project budget and pro-formas in coordination with the pre-development and construction teams;
- Assist the Finance Team in **consistently updating the pro formas**for ongoing projects in order to facilitate accounting integrations and formal reporting to stakeholders;
- Assist in the **preparation of various financial analyses**for lenders and equity investors when setting up the financing of each project and sourcing equity requirements, as well as updates later on during the project's construction;
- **Maintain and update financial information**with regards to:

- Financing
- Equity partners
- Insurance
- Ensure routine **follow-up on salary recovery**and for billing of all projects in accordance with approved guidelines;
- Offer ad-hoc assistance in the **upkeep and preparation of financial information**and financial statements;
- Offer ad-hoc assistance to the Corporate Controller in **the preparation of audit and review engagements**;
- Assist with **other financial analyses**as required on an ad-hoc basis as requested by the Director of Finance;
- **Collaborate**with the team to assist with other projects;
- Any other related tasks.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- **Bachelor’s degree**in either: accounting, finance, economics, or a related field;
- **CPA designation**, an asset (CFA Level I or II will also be considered);
- A minimum of **one (2-3) year of experience**in an accounting or finance role;
- Experience in **real estate construction and/or development**, an asset;
- **Advanced**knowledge of Microsoft **Excel**;
- **Excellent**knowledge of other **Office Software**(Word, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.);
- Excellent communication skills in **French and English**;
- **Entrepreneurial spirit**and a desire to **innovate**;
- **Attention to detail**in all aspects of their work;
- Good **organization**, **time management**, and **prioritization skills**;
- Comfortable working in a **fast-paced environment**;
- Team player who **communicates effectively**with individuals at all levels of the organization;
