**Job summary**:
The Gradeperson is responsible for using surveying instruments to establish correct grade for construction projects.

**Duties/Tasks**:

- Positively participate in the Company Safety and Goal Zero Initiatives and adhere to all safety requirements.
- Read construction plans and understand mathematical aspect of grading to complete many functions of the job.
- Work closely with site engineers and equipment operators to solve problems.
- Measure distances from reference points to locate boundaries of construction site.
- Verify curvature of graded surface with hand level
- Conduct equipment checks and inform mechanics and supervisors of mechanical problems with equipment.
- Conduct ground work as necessary to complete contracts.

**Knowledge/Skills**:

- Mathematical skills are required.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with equipment operators.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (class 5) and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
