**Opportunity Summary**:
Lucent Technology Inc. is seeking a **senior-level consultant** to serve as a **named Board Advisory Consultant** to a major **BC-based crown corporation** engaged in a large-scale fleet renewal and infrastructure modernization program.
This strategic, high-impact role involves providing **independent advice to the corporation’s Program Board**, contributing to effective governance and oversight of complex capital initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Attend and actively contribute to all scheduled **Program Board meetings**:
- Offer **verbal observations and recommendations** on governance, risk, and strategic execution
- Consult individually with board members and senior management
- Identify governance risks, structural gaps, and industry-aligned best practices
- Support effective oversight and stakeholder trust in high-value, multi-year programs
**Required Qualifications**:
- **Minimum 5 years** of experience managing or advising on complex programs in a **board governance format**:
- Held senior roles such as **CEO, Deputy Minister, ADM**, or equivalent
- Experience advising public sector boards, large programs, or infrastructure capital delivery
- Strong presence and credibility in executive settings
- Must be able to **personally deliver all services** (subcontracting is not permitted)
**Preferred**:
- Background in infrastructure, transportation, energy, or regulated sectors
- Experience with government agencies or crown corporations
- Familiarity with oversight boards, advisory panels, or board governance frameworks
