**Summary**:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing and overseeing payments and expenses. They deliver these services efficiently and accurately, ensuring that TESC’s financial records are current, staff expenditures are reimbursed promptly and accurately. Also ensuring that vendors, suppliers and sub-contractors are paid within designated timelines.

**Primary Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Ensure transactions align with financial policies and procedures.
- Set up and input invoices for payment in accordance with TESC accounting guidelines.
- Oversee gas card and credit card transactions, including reconciliation, coding, and processing payments.
- Keep vendor records current and organized.
- Communicate with vendors and address their queries.
- Manage weekly and monthly cheque runs for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare vendor cheques for mailing.
- Maintain and update the accounts payable ledger.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure all financial documentation is filed appropriately.
- Address billing inquiries and make calls to resolve issues; serve as a point of contact between departments and vendors.
- Review and process employee reimbursement reports, following TESC guidelines, and ensure timely payment.
- Process online payments and enter them into Jonas software.
- Print and distribute monthly financial statements and reports.
- Generate annual TDI reports (6 months after fiscal year-end).
- Handle daily sorting and filing tasks.
- Support the month-end closing process.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial records and sensitive information.
- Assist with year end audit queries related to payables

**Job Specifications**:

- Post-secondary diploma in accounting or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working with construction accounts payable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Jonas software experience an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Professional demeanor and attitude.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated and the ability of working independently with mínimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
