Proterra Energy Solutions specialize in the cleaning of above ground storage tanks, vessels, bullets, and towers for various companies in the Oil & Gas Industry throughout Western Canada. We can provide a ‘Full, All Inclusive’ service which comes with our extensive management experience, state of the art equipment and highly skilled work force. Proterra is currently looking to hire Equipment Operators local to the Edmonton area. You will be accountable for day-to-day facility operations, ensuring that all equipment and systems are being operated to Proterra standards. Using your technical expertise, you will assist operations in the optimization of equipment, by identifying and recommending improvement to processes and systems.

**Duties**
- Ensure that all equipment and systems is being operated to Proterra standards
- Operate, monitor, and control process levels, temperatures, pressures and flows for applicable utilities, processes, and systems in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure that required documentation is legible, accurate and completed on a timely basis
- Use technical expertise to assist operations in the optimization of equipment
- Identify and recommend improvements to processes and systems
- Perform emergency operations activities as needed
- Regularly attend and actively participate in safety meetings, identify any safety concerns to supervisor, report all incidents and assist in investigations
- Perform mechanical and or equipment maintenance as required and/or assigned
- Maintain safe and clean equipment and general work area
- Train on unfamiliar processes and equipment, within established guidelines, as required
- Acquire and maintain adequate certification as required
- Provides guidance, direction, and technical expertise to less experienced operators
- Perform physical tasks and duties including but not limited to shoveling, moving equipment, tank cleaning and housekeeping requirements.

Safety certification requirements (safety certification and training can be provided to successful applicants)
- H2S alive
- Confined space entry and monitor or rescue
- CSTS 2020/WHMIS 2015
- Fall protection (an asset)
- Standard first aid (an asset)
- Zoom boom (an asset)
- Class 5 drivers license
- CSA steel toed boots required. All other PPE is provided.

**Job details and keys to success**
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Experience working with boilers
- Mechanically inclined
- Punctual attendance is a requirement
- Comply with all safety requirements
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must provide proof of completion of all required safety certifications
- Bring a positive, ‘can-do’, ‘safety first’ attitude every day
- Participate with the team to build and maintain a productive and safe work environment.
