Major Loss Claims Adjuster

The person in this position will evaluate, on the site of the incident, the extent of the damages qualified as major losses or special risks. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Take charge of the insured party by providing assistance and explaining the way in which the compensation file will be handled as well as the coverage provided by his or her contract, in keeping with the code of ethics for his or her profession.- Investigate the possible causes of the incident and collect as much pertinent information as possible (statements, police reports, photographs, etc.) so as to analyze the claim file.- Produce and draft a report containing all of the information required to settle the claim.- Negotiate with the various stakeholders so as to ensure the compensation file is processed correctly and to control costs.- Propose a settlement amount that is fair for the insured party while respecting his or her commitment to quality and the organizations policies and while taking contractual obligations into consideration.- Deploy the Major Loss Harmonized process and closely collaborate with the Major Loss Appraisal team.

What you bring to the table- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR CIP designation- A minimum of five years of relevant experience including property claims- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
