**Overview**:
The Retail Associate is a critical role within the Retail Department, responsible for supporting day-to-day operations at the Danby Retail Store. This role plays a key part in achieving physical and financial goals, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Retail Associate upholds merchandising standards and promotes the Danby brand as a customer ambassador.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**1. Customer Service**
- Serve as a brand ambassador by providing exceptional service to visitors and customers.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and offer product recommendations.
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally and in a timely manner.

**2. Operational Excellence**
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the store environment.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation.

**3. Inventory Management**
- Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Assist with replenishment and organization of merchandise to optimize product availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages to management.

**4. Merchandising Practices**
- Maintain a visually appealing and organized store layout.
- Participate in the set-up and execution of promotional displays and seasonal campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with established merchandising standards.

**5. Achieve Physical and Financial Goals**
- Work collaboratively with the Retail Manager and Lead to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Contribute to developing and executing sales growth strategies.

**Education, Training, and Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service, preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

**Working Conditions**:

- This position requires standing for extended periods.
- Regular data entry is part of daily duties.
- Some lifting and carrying of products weighing up to 100 lbs may be required.
