Requisition ID: 172899 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **The role**: Vendor Management Advisory Analyst, Third Party Management Office of the Chief Operating Officer | Technology & Operations **Purpose** - Contributes to the overall success of the IT&S (Information Technology & Services) in Canada and LATAM by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. - The Vendor Management Advisory Analyst is responsible to manage the IT Labor Services related demand, third-party(vendor/supplier) sourcing requirements and provide advisory to IT&S contract owners & leadership and support with activities including Sourcing, Contract management, Supplier negotiation, Cost optimization initiatives while interacting and managing relationships with internal stakeholders including Sourcing/Procurement, Contract Management/Legal office, Finance, Third-party Risk Management, Internal control functions, Supplier Relationship Managers, and external teams such as third-party suppliers.**Accountabilities** - Create relationships with requesters, hiring managers, contract owners and business unit leadership to support on IT&S objectives, influence key stakeholders and jointly develop, govern, and report on the demand management strategies for IT Labor Services - Collaborate with contract owners, and business leaders to understand the IT Labor services demand, and provide advisory on the third-party engagement strategies including right third-party engagement, right contractual vehicle, appropriate contractual terms & conditions including business, commercial and legal aspects. - Collaborate with Global Procurement Services / Sourcing teams to implement sourcing/third-party engagement strategies for high-risk / high-critical contractual requirements including participating/contributing to the contract negotiations & RFx events. - Collaborate with IT&S stakeholders, IT Delivery Services Supplier Relationship managers, and Sourcing teams to implement the best-practices for third-party engagement for IT Labor Services, and regularly monitor the compliance and report periodically to the leadership on the adherence of the strategy by the IT&S business units including metrics such as third-party(ies) utilization, delivery location, skill-utilization, etc. - Govern, track and report to IT&S leadership on the demand management and third-party contractual metrics periodically including cost savings achieved through demand management activities.- Provide support and oversight on the pre-requisites for contract management including all approvals are in-place in-line with the IT&S processes, and financial conditions are met in-line with the IT&S financial processes and procedures including budget/forecast are in-place prior to the execution on a contract. - Champions a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates team members by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team **Education / Experience** - Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, business management, finance, marketing, OR relevant work experience - Minimum of 1 to 3 years progressive experience in third-party/supplier engagement activities. Fair knowledge about contract management (Master Agreement, Statement of Works, etc.) or ability and interest to learn on the job - Strong analytical skills and experience in working with a large dataset on Microsoft excel, and exposure to running complex queries and Macros is preferred. Microsoft Access and/or SharePoint experience, preferred - Stakeholder management skills and comfort in speaking with senior leaders at the Bank - Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills **Nice to Have Skills** - Understanding of third-party risk assessment process. - Ability to comprehend complex technical and financial issues and use them to inform the creation of effective action plans and supplier strategies - Ability to develop analyses and insights into supply market trends - Knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art procurement and analysis technologies LI-hybrid scotiatechnology Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
