Truck Driver

_**Yard location: Laval**_
- **Workdays: Monday to Friday**_
- **No Weekends**_
- **No Statutory Holidays**_
- **Shift Start time: 7AM to 5PM (9 to 10 hour shift - end shift depends on volume of freight and or delays)**_

**What you will do**:

- _**Drive 3 ton vehicle to deliver freights to assigned stops within Montreal and surrounding areas**_
- Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time
- _**20 to 40+ deliveries daily and up to 5 pick-ups**_
- Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
- _**Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck (lift up to 70lbs)**_
- Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
- Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
- Report on all safety hazards and accidents
- Use a cellular phone to communicate with dispatch ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc.
- Provide excellent customer service
- Build strong client relationships
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
- Additional duties as required

**What we require of you**:

- _ **Must speak French**_
- High School Diploma
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract
- Courier or LTL experience is an asset
- Minimum 1 year Commercial driving experience
- _**This shift will be Monday to Friday with a minimum of 9 to 10 hours of work. Overtime will be paid.**_
- _ **Capable of doing physical labour with a great degree of strength and stamina - lift up to 70lbs**_
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
- Customer Focus - experience providing quality customer service

- Experience working independently and with mínimal supervision
