Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition & Development Manager takes the lead in attracting and retaining top talent, building colleague engagement, fostering creativity, innovation and inclusiveness.
The incumbent is responsible for ongoing training and development of talent within the hotel and will deliver and/or coordinate in-house training, as well as providing guidance to departmental trainers. In consultation with the Director, Human Resources, the incumbent will be responsible for developing or outsourcing course material as required. The incumbent will work closely with the Quality Manager to provide support in corporate and hotel quality initiatives and programs.
Manages the talent acquisition process for the Hotel.
Responsible for advertising vacancies on various recruitment platforms including social media and hospitality schools.
-Co-ordinates all training, including distribution of pre-work and training objectives, room booking and set-ups, preparation of purchase orders and the preparation of the participant lists for the facilitator. Also ensures that the follow-up is completed on participant's training objectives and their action plans and course evaluations.
Coordinates the e-learning programs.
Participates in strategic teams to provide training and to identify training programs for colleagues as required.
Establishes and manages the designated department training teams, updating the program materials, assisting with the implementation and follow up to ensure all colleagues participate in the training.
Assesses skill gaps through annual training needs analysis to determine future training needs for both management and line colleagues.
Designs, develops, facilitates and evaluates training programs.
Manages the Human Resources on-boarding process.
Monitors the PRIDE Development Action Plan program.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
In collaboration with the Quality Manager, identifies and develops training programs to address “Voice of the Customer” concerns.
Administers the educational assistance program.
Evaluates training within the Hotel, and provides on-going feedback to senior management on the effectiveness of training.
Under the direction of the Director, Human Resources, works within the framework of the approved training budget.
Co-ordinates, and investigates external training programs.
Produce training newsletter each quarter.
Actively use Social Media (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) to share Chelsea stories that portray the Chelsea as a vibrant and engaged workplace.
Tracks and trends KPIs related to job function (eg. internal promotion rates, monthly training hours summary); analyzes and completes training data for monthly sustainability reports.
Abides by all the hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, including confidentiality undertaking.
Assists with the planning and delivery of all colleague functions.
Requirement
- **_Working Experience_**_ _**
Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilitating and developing training programs, preferably within the Hotel/Hospitality sector.
- Previous experience in Human Resources and recruitment is an asset.
- **_Knowledge_**_ _**
Knowledge of adult learning processes.
- Proven knowledge of business excellence, training and development
- Sound knowledge of management and service industry
- Knowledge and experience in training and development
- Competent in report writing and improvement facilitation
- Skillful in standards, procedures, reports and communication writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Desktop Publisher.
- **_Education_**_ _**
-- Post secondary education in Training & Development or Adult Learning preferred

- Human Resources certificate also an asset

- Proven or demonstrated ability in working under pressure, taking initiative, leadership and working as a team player, problem solving, prioritising and delegating.

- Willingness to work non-standard hours in the delivery of training programs and participating and planning colleague events.

- Proactive, self-motivated, sound judgment and “get it done” attitude

- Comfort presenting and facilitating with both small and large group
