**Job Title: Butcher/Meat Cutter**

**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Cut, trim, and prepare various cuts of meat according to customer orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist customers with their meat selections and provide information on cooking methods and recipes
- Keep inventory of meat products and report any shortages or issues to management
- Receive deliveries of meat products and inspect them for quality and freshness
- Perform routine maintenance on meat-cutting equipment
- Follow established protocols for preparing and packaging meat products for sale
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Wrap and package prepared meats
- Weigh meats for sale
- Grind meats
- Slice cooked meats
- Prepare special displays of meats and poultry
- Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry

**Qualifications**:

- At least 2 years of experience as a Butcher/Meat Cutter in a retail or commercial setting
- Knowledge of various cuts of meat and their preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in culinary arts or a related field is a plus)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

**Salary and Benefits**:
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive salary, health and dental benefits and paid time off.
