**Position**: Housekeeper & Caregiver

**Salary**: $40,000 to $50,000

**Expected Start Date**: As soon as possible

**Major Responsibilities**

**Housekeeping and home maintenance**:Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming household.
- Daily cleaning, dusting, dishwashing, and sanitizing of surfaces.
- Weekly deep cleaning including floors, bathrooms, appliances, and organizing spaces.
- Laundry care: washing, ironing, steaming, and folding clothes.
- Rotate seasonal clothing and maintain pantry cleanliness.

**Meal prep and kitchen support**:Assist with light food preparation and kitchen organization.
- Clean and prep fruits, vegetables, and ingredients.
- Assist with light cooking and meal portioning.
- Track grocery needs and support household shopping.

**Caregiver responsibilities for an independent senior**:Provide supportive and engaged personal assistance.
- Drive to medical appointments, bank, shopping, errands, and daily outings.
- Support medication reminders and calendar tracking.
- Provide companionship through walks, games, light exercise, and conversation.
- Assist with basic tasks such as grocery shopping, gardening, and water plants.

**Household support and errands**:Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the home.
- Run errands including dry cleaning, grocery pickup, and supply restocking.
- Help with travel preparation, checklists, and packing when needed.
- Support house projects and decluttering as requested.
- Pet care duties such as feeding cats and cleaning litter as needed.

**Family engagement and flexibility**:Support the overall well-being of the household.
- Assist in family projects around the home

**Administrative and compliance support**:Maintain accurate documentation and uphold internal controls.
- Build trust with family members through reliable, respectful communication.
- Assist with occasional special events, birthdays, or seasonal decorating.
- Stay overnight when homeowners are away (as needed) to support the senior.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Minimum 5+ years experience in housekeeping
- Minimum 5+ years experience in senior/elderly caregiving
- Minimum 2 references from previous employers
- Valid CPR-C and Standard First Aid certifications are required.
- Must be fluent in English with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Personable, patient, warm, and respectful demeanor.
- Ability to maintain discretion, privacy, and professionalism.
- Capable of physical activity such as walking, lifting laundry, or assisting with errands.
- Must be pet-friendly and comfortable with cats.
- Criminal background and vulnerable sector check required.
- Must own a vehicle and have access at all times.

**Assets**:

- Experience supporting elderly individuals in a home-based setting.
- Experience with Laundry care: washing, ironing, steaming, and folding clothes.
- Light cooking and nutrition-focused meal prep skills.
- Familiarity with gardening, watering plants, or outdoor household upkeep.
- Willingness to support seasonal events, celebrations, or overnight care when requested.
- Resides in or near the Woodbridge/Vaughan area.

**Work Schedule and Conditions**:

- Work Schedule Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm (Live-Out Position)
- Require evening and weekend flexibility for caregiver responsibilities and housekeeping.
- Must be available for driving-based errands and appointments throughout the week.
- Compensation includes complimentary meals, snacks, and beverages during working hours.
- Position requires a compassionate, “all-hands-on-deck” approach to family care and support.

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
