Carpenter Helper

K. Winter Sanitation Inc. has been in the manufacturing and renting Portable toilets with heated warm water sinks, lights, "Sure - Flush" water flush and electric heater. We need a person to help build the portable toilets and repair the portable year round. Full time year round work. **Responsibilities** - Assist carpenters in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials according to specifications. - Help with the assembly and installation of structures and fixtures. - Operate power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks. - Aid in heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required on-site. - Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. - Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. **Requirements**: - Proven experience as a Handy Person or in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of various repair techniques and tools. - Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work. - Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision. - Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. - Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects. - Valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 42 per week Additional pay: - Bonus pay - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Life insurance - On-site parking - Vision care Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - No weekends **Experience**: - Carpentry: 3 years (preferred) - Woodworking: 3 years (preferred) **Language**: - English (preferred) Work Location: In person
