Housekeeping Operations Supervisor

We are looking for an ambitious, dedicated and service-oriented **Housekeeping Operations** **Supervisor **to join the team at Marriott on the Falls. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible to supervise Colleagues, inspect rooms and lead shifts. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Supervise and lead shifts and Colleagues including Room Attendants, Housepersons, laundry attendants
- Effectively coach, motivate, communicate, recognize a diverse team of housekeeping associates, and leads Colleagues on shift.
- Within Guest Services and Rooms operations: Inspect public areas, restrooms, fitness center, pool area, offices and service areas after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards are met.
- Within Food and Beverage operations: Inspect food and beverage areas, meeting rooms and event space.
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining inventory of departmental supplies.
- Conduct inspections of housekeeping areas.
- Maintain effective communication between the housekeeping department and key operational departments including Front Office and Engineering, to ensure we are able to effective lead shifts and resolve issues, as required.
- Inspects rooms to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to Housekeeping Management team.
- Maintains a proper log of Lost and Found Inventory, in accordance with hotel policy and procedure
- Assists the team in performing general cleaning tasks and preparation of guest rooms, as required.
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action where required.
- Manage assigned projects, ensuring assignment and completion of tasks with PM team members
- Ensures the daily completion of all in-house laundry tasks ensuring available inventory meets occupancy requirements.

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years previous work experience in a similar capacity as a Room Inspector or Supervisor is preferred
- Demonstrated understanding for hotel standards of service
- Outstanding attention to detail - both personal grooming/appearance and in properly ensuring that Marriott housekeeping cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
- Excellent organizational, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in managing in-house operated laundry operation
- Experience in working in a unionized environment an asset
- Must have excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Position is physical in nature, therefore must be able to regularly lift, bend, reach and stretch and squat.
- Previous experience with MARSHA and Microsoft Office software is preferred.
