**Details of the position** Job title: Personnal Development and Community Involvement Animator [Replacement] School / Centre / Department: Massey Vanier High School Location: Cowansville, Quebec Workload: 28 hours per week (80%) - Status: - Replacement < 6months (estimate end date January 12 2026) Annual Salary: $55 282 - $97 963 ( X workload) Supervisor: School Principal **Nature of the work** The position of Personal Development and Community Engagement Animator involves, more specifically, the design and implementation of programs of activities with a community, humanitarian, and inner-life focus. These activities aim to foster in students greater self-awareness, as well as the development of their autonomy and sense of responsibility, in order to contribute to a harmonious and supportive society that respects rights and freedom of conscience. The animator provides students with opportunities to embrace diversity—cultural, physical, sexual, and gender diversity in particular—in order to promote and nurture a school climate of kindness and well-being. **Description of tasks** - Design, plan, organize, and lead activities that allow students to develop their inner life and social awareness, to participate in the improvement of their environment and of society, and to establish connections between their personal lives, values, aspirations, and community involvement. - Individually or collectively support students who need to explore particular questions in greater depth or address difficulties encountered in their personal, social, or community involvement. - Raise awareness among all school partners of their responsibility to facilitate the student’s personal, social, and community development. - Inform and advise school administration on the reality and needs of students in relation to their personal, social, and community lives. - Coordinate and collaborate with other stakeholders in the school environment, and support them by proposing activities that meet their needs for information or training regarding inner life and community engagement. - Participate in the design and dissemination of information to parents and community organizations about the various aspects of the personal development and community engagement animation service, and, where appropriate, collaborate with them to promote the development of students in their personal lives, social lives, and community involvement. **Desired profile** A bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialty that consists mainly of courses in the following areas: 1.
