**GCI** is looking for a TCP to join our team in Nanaimo.

**We are looking for Traffic Control Personnel who**:

- Safely setting up and tearing down worksites
- Who will protect your team, public, and site always

**Requirements**:

- Have a valid BCCSA ticket.
- Valid Driver's license with a reliable vehicle.

**Responsibilities**
- Follow the Traffic Management Plan, Risk Assessment, instructions, and procedures by BCCSA, WorkSafe BC regulations, and OHS guidelines.
- Use appropriate signaling devices, such as hand signals, to safely guide vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians through work zones.
- Communicate effectively with team members, drivers, and construction personnel to maintain a safe and efficient traffic flow.
- Ensure that all safety equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), is worn correctly and maintained according to safety protocols.
- Assist with the setup and takedown of traffic control devices and signage as required.
- Monitor and promptly report any irregularities, safety hazards, or incidents to supervisors.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
