On-call Host

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic (on-call) Host to join our team. There are no set hours for this position. We do a lot of pop-up contesting and community service events. The working platform here is Windows based with iMedia Touch software, a good working knowledge of both is required. Duties include:

- Remote broadcasts and promotional events
- Covering community happenings
- Voicing commercials, IDs, tags, etc. for station branding
- Scripting as needed
- Other duties as assigned

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Strong communicator and story teller on air and online
- Ability to connect with the 18-40 audience in a positive and engaging manner
- Works well under pressure
- Working knowledge of Adobe Audition and/or Pro Tools
- Takes direction well and is flexible

Jukasa Radio is licensed by the CRTC to operate an Indigenous community radio service to serve the Six Nations of the Grand River on FM93.5. Jukasa Radio, is a non-profit organization composed of a membership base rooted in the Indigenous community.

Our programming: serves as an educational platform for our younger generations by showcasing customs and traditions of the Six Nations people and the Anishinabe people; facilitates the preservation of Native language through educational and musical features in various Six Nations and Ojibway languages; provides the younger demographic segments with robust content specifically tailored to their interests; and, contributes to the betterment of our communities by encouraging audience participation and interaction through accessible hyper local content.
