Assistant Team Leader

**POSITION DETAILS**:
The Assistant Team Lead is responsible to support the Team Leader during the shift with regard to quality, safety, personnel and machine operations. These duties include but are not limited to: ensure quality standards are met, provide training to less experienced Team Members as well as break relief, annotate production accurately, and perform preventive maintenance. Ensures all job-related operations comply with Health & Safety, GMP, HACCP, WHMIS standards. The role is dynamic and requires a strong ability to organize. **The position is a Full-time permanent 12-hours Continental shift spot with a 4 weeks rotation.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintains highest standards of HACCP, Quality, GMP and Health & Safety standards
- Completes all quality checks and according quality records and documentation
- Assist with the training of new employees
- Assist with colleagues work rotation and break relief
- Monitor Injection Molding, Thermoforming and Injection Blow Molding processes
- Perform minor adjustments or repairs
- Troubleshoots issues on the production lines and seeks intervention from shift supervisor and/or maintenance as needed
- Ensures adherence to legal and company policies and procedures
- Performs all other duties as assigned to meet and exceed operational requirements

**Qualifications**:

- Experience within GMP and Plastic Packaging Industry highly preferred
- HACCP and Quality standard experience an asset
- Demonstrated team building skills and experience with employee training
- Knowledge of production lines and machinery, key performance indicators, technological processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot technological problems
- Meets the physical demands of the position
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with persons at all levels of the organization
- Attention to detail, reliable, strong work ethic, high integrity
- Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment and meet/exceed goals

**Education**:

- High School or similar

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33 - 44 per week
