We currently have two opportunities for Unscheduled Part-Time **Materials Management Assistant **in the Warehouse.
Hours of Work: VARIOUS SHIFTS - KW - M-F 0600-1400, 0700-1500, 1100-1900, FREEPORT M-F -0700-1500. W/E 0800-1600
**How Materials Management Assistant support our teams at Grand River Hospital**:
- Unloading trucks, verifying stock, communicating discrepancies and putting stock away within the warehouse in a timely manner. Responsible for organizing, rotating and labelling stock in the warehouse while ensuring accuracy. Working closely with the Receiver to ensure incoming stock is accurate and offloaded from the dock efficiently as well as managing all of the incoming delivery trucks.
- Liaison between Clinical Supply requirements and Materials Management. Maintains appropriate inventory levels of stock items in assigned areas. Assists users in defining needs related to stock product. Maintains high customer service levels thereby ensuring patient care quality of supplies are met. Contribute to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
- Delivering medical gases, pick up and deliver of dirty & soiled instruments. Picking Orders and Delivering to various departments.
- Walking, standing, heavy lifting (50 lbs+) is required. Must be able to operate electric lift trucks. This is a very fast paced position and requires managing and prioritizing multiple tasks at the same time. Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
**At Grand River Hospital, the Materials Management Assistant has**:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Warehouse Experience is Mandatory
- Electric Lift Truck Certificate is Mandatory
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work Independently and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and accuracy is critical to this role
- Ability to lift 50+lbs repeatedly
