**How You'll Perform the Role**
This position is responsible for slitting roll stock and WIP (work in process) containing many impressions into the individual rolls ordered by the customer. Folds roll stock webs in half to provide finished goods shippable to the customer. Re-winds telescoped roll stock and/or WIP to provide the customer with a smooth edge. Prepares finished goods tag before sending back to the warehouse
- Confirm slitting instructions on docket. Check against sample or mounting proof to confirm measurement
- Set up machine shafts to accept smaller roll sizes
- Cut cores
- Requisition raw material or work in process stock from warehouse in conjunction with the lead hand
- Load and unload rolls on and off shaft following proper standard operating procedures
- Do quality checks of product while slitting or re-winding each roll. Watch for tape markings for misprint, splices, brush marks, etc. Cut out poor quality and marked impressions. Splice rolls together in manner acceptable to customer.
- Check first impression off slitter to docket sample for print position, copy and misprint and have the lead hand or supervisor approval before starting job.
- Record production on job docket and daily production report for eventual recording in computer system
- Complete finished goods tags before returning roll stock to warehouse for shipment to customer
- Report any maintenance required on machine to shift supervisor to ensure repairs are made and ensure the proper work order is completed.
- Work in a safe manner in compliance with Company policy and standard operating procedures.
- Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements,
- Adhere to all Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity,
- Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and (HACCP), and Safe Quality Food (SQF)
- Other duties as assigned

**What We Need From You**
- **Must be able to work a 12 hour rotating continental shift**:

- Reliable attendance
- Grade 12 or GED
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to contribute and work in a team environment
- Excellent work ethic and an excellent attitude with the ability to learn quickly
- Good English oral and written communication skills
- Being mechanically inclined is an asset.
- Attention to detail is essential
